Sacred Ground is a film-based dialogue series on race and faith and is the brainchild of Episcopalian Katrina Brown. Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North chronicles Katrina’s own family’s reckoning with their past as decedents of the largest trader of enslaved people in America. Using films, readings, and dialogue groups, Scared Ground explores race and racism in the United States from Indigenous, Black, Latino, and Asian Americans. This faith-based curriculum invites us to explore our response to our collective histories in a supportive and respectful environment. Sacred Ground is part of the Let’s Talk about Race series at St. Anne’s and will meet for 10-sessions on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 6:30 – 8 pm beginning March 4.
