Here’s the latest information about the safety measures St. Anne’s will be taking for our choir rehearsals. We are upgrading the MERV filters in the HVAC system in order to improve the air exchange rate in the choir room. We are also adding two portable HEPA filters to clean the air more efficiently. All singers will wear masks for rehearsals; the ones that they use for school should be fine. The chairs will be moved and spaced out in order to allow for a little more distance between singers. Our times will be adjusted as well, since the American Choral Directors Association recommends no longer than fifty minutes of singing in any given space.
The Junior and Primary Choirs (grades K – 5) will be combined for the fall season in order to make it easier for parents who have children in both groups. They will rehearse on Wednesdays from 4:30 – 5:15 PM and our first rehearsal will be on Wednesday, September 22. Our Youth Choir (grades 6 –12) will still rehearse twice a month right after church on two Sundays a month from 11:45 – 12:30 PM. Our first rehearsal will be Sunday September 26. You will also be able to join rehearsals via Zoom as we did last year if you’d prefer.

You may also sign up at the Ministry Fair on Sunday, September 19. If your child has a soccer conflict, he/she is welcome to join us later in the year. We are looking forward to making music in person once again!
