Stocking the pantries at Holy Comforter
IN AUGUST, help stock the pantry
The Church of the Holy Comforter is a mission church of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta. It is supported by the Diocese, various parishes, foundations and individuals.
The Friendship Center is a “ministry of the church with a mission to be an inclusive day program and community that promotes the mental, spiritual and physical well-being of adults marginalized by mental health challenges and poverty.” Volunteers last month alone, cooked and served over 1000 meals.
For over forty years, members of Saint Anne’s have provided meals and transportation to and from the church, taught art, organized social events and field tripos, helped in the greenhouse and become friends and mentors to many in the loving and accepting community.
During the month of August, Saint Anne’s Outreach Committee will be collecting much needed items to support the kitchen and clothes closet at Holy Comforter. Please help by bringing one of the following items (please, no substitutes) to the Narthex on Sunday morning:
Plastic forks
12 oz. paper cups (not plastic or Styrofoam).
Chinet paper DINNER plates
Sturdy paper napkins
Bag of Eight O’clock Original coffee
Soft tooth brushes
Sensodyne toothpaste
XL and larger Women's briefs
XL and larger women's casual tshirts
L-XXXL men’s undershirts (new)
* Available at COSTCO as well as other places.
