CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Our Children’s Ministry serves children birth-5th grade. Here at Saint Anne’s we believe in an inclusive community and strive to incorporate that into everything we do. No matter where your child may be in their own spiritual journey, we are there to meet them with love, respect, and a supportive community. We want our children to know from day one that they are known and loved, that they matter, and that they are called to join with God's people in building a more beloved community.

formation

Sunday School at Saint Anne’s is a time of play, worship, and community. We use a lectionary-based curriculum, so all ages are learning the same message each week. We use lessons that easily grabs kids’ attention with entertaining and theology-targeted Bible stories that help kids seek faith and understanding through the Bible’s message. This is where community begins with our children.

Children's Chapel

Children of all ages are welcome in church at Saint Anne's. During the 10:30 am service, children pre-K thru 3rd grade are invited to Children’s Chapel where they have the opportunity to hear the Gospel message for the day delivered in a manner they can digest. This is also where our children are introduced to prayer -who or what do we pray for? How do we pray? The children will join their families in the Nave at the Peace.

camp mikell

There is no place like Camp! Children and youth of all ages are welcome and encouraged to experience some Mikell Magic every Summer. Camp is a great place to build community and be yourself.

Children's choir

We have two choirs for children. All choirs receive choir pins based on the national Choristers Guild curriculum, with jewels added for years of service. In addition, each choir participates in an Awards Ceremony each year followed by a choir trip. Children who have soccer/sports practices on rehearsal days are welcome to join us in November.  We also have a choir for youth in grades 6-12.

safeguarding God’s children

To ensure that Saint Anne's is a safe space for children, we require all volunteers and employees to take a training called Safeguard God's Children. Safeguarding God’s Children is a training program for child sexual abuse awareness. The program provides participants information they need to protect children and care for in their personal lives and in the ministries in which they serve.

There are so many ways to become engaged in our Children's Ministry. Whether it's helping prep events and classes behind the scenes or working directly with the children in Sunday School, you will always be surrounded by the beautiful energy that our children carry.  You always leave with a full cup.

little saints nursery

We provide a safe and nurturing environment for our littlest parishioners ages birth – age 4. Our Nursery is provided free of charge Sunday from 9 am – 12 pm and for special services and activities. Everyone working in the nursery has been interviewed by the director of Children and Youth Ministry, passed a background check, is CPR and First Aid certified and certified in Safeguarding God’s Children.

worship bags

For those children who would rather stay in the service with their families, we have worship bags in each pew. The items inside those bags help children engage in the service. They might use the cross and candle to build their own mini altar; use scrap paper to recreate some of the stained glass windows; or check out our weekly worship bulletin. We love the sounds of children in our space.

Vacation bible school

Each year, Saint Anne’s is pleased to offer a week of fun, fellowship, and learning as children around the community engage in song, dance, games, thrilling Bible stories, and crafts that make real God’s love for them and for each other.

PARENT GROUPS

We know that when raising a family, it takes a village. At Saint Anne's we have several ways for you build your village. POLO (Parents of Little Ones) and the ECW Moms Group are great ways to meet other families in the community and find support in the everyday joys and hardships of life.
