Ice Cream at church

Episcopal Church Women

Since 1871, the National Episcopal Church Women, ECW, has championed women’s rights and the Christian foundation of God and family. ECW is a ministry of the Episcopal Church and celebrate that Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

ECW's women’s ministry and children’s programs feed, educate, and provide community grants around the world. It is a volunteer organization that creates a legacy for ECW to lead future generations with stewardship in Christ.

At Saint Anne's the work and community of ECW is robust with four groups.

Saint Anne's Cooks

This group of dedicated volunteers come together to cook for seasonal parish events such as Festival Sunday and Founder’s Day Picnics, the Christmas Party, covered dish breakfasts, and a variety of receptions throughout the year. The Cooks provide wonderful fellowship while preparing and sharing Saint Anne’s time-honored recipes. It is a very flexible group that encourages volunteers to help when their schedule permits during one or several events. For additional information, contact Nan Hunter or call the church office to get connected.

The Saint Anne’s community gathers throughout the year for celebrations and parish wide activities and to break bread together as a church family. These events allow us to build relationships with each other and are opportunities for us to invite family and friends to experience Saint Anne’s hospitality. All are welcome to join—as guests or to help with the event. For more information contact Nan Hunter or the church office.

Lemonade in the Shade

Join us after church starting in the spring each year for cookies and lemonade. It's a time to enjoy fellowship and a treat. On some Sundays we even invite an ice cream truck! Please consider volunteering to provide this quick, easy and enjoyable service to Saint Anne’s community. We provide all of the ingredients—you provide the time. Do it with your family, friends, a group you’re involved in at church, or however you would like to make this ministry fun and rewarding for yourself and others.

sunday morning breakfast

Join us for breakfast before formation on Sundays starting at 8:45. During the summer, we have a variety of muffins and Danish. During the school year, a hot or continental-style breakfast is graciously prepared by parish volunteers. Families, friends and committee groups are encouraged to pick a date to roll up your sleeves and help with this parish ministry—no experience is necessary!
